Know The Different Types Of Bridal Shows So You Find The Perfect Bridal Gown For You

By Robert Hawkins

I grew up going to bridal shows and loved every one of them. I started going before I was one and have kept going to these shows every years since. Now, almost 30 years later I still visit several shows a year and have many great relationships with vendors everywhere including a few Toronto DJ companies.

The month of January and the second half of September through to the first week of October are the prime times of the year for bridals shows. Many couples get engage during the Christmas holidays so, designers want to get their dresses out there while the blush of the new engagement is still on before the inevitable spring weddings. Many couples also get engaged during the the spring and summer and plan weddings near the beginning of the next year. So, the fall bridal shows accommodate those couples.

Think about the different types of bridal shows that you would like to attend. If you want to go to a bridal fair or bridal expo then you will find these kind of show are typically larger in scale. They offer the bride-to-be a wealth of possible wedding events, wedding professionals, products and services, including Toronto DJ companies and pastoral services. The largest bridal show is held twice a year in Las Vegas and is known as The Bridal Spectacular. This is a very high quality event with a great reputation and usually offers about 150 vendors or more for you to meet with.

The types of shows I will discuss in this article are the "area" and "regional" bridal shows.

Area Bridal Shows

Since an area bridal show is usually on a smaller scale than the regional shows, you can take your time and speak with the professionals at each display. There will be less choice in terms of vendors so you may not get a chance to speak with a Toronto DJ. However, ask questions anyway and get an idea of what the area vendors offer.

Now, having said all this, it's important to note that you more than likely be asked to fill out a registration form. The information you give them will be given to every vendor at the show. This is a standard practice and is not meant to be intrusive. A wedding is a public yet, deeply personal event and the vendors will want to consult with you to give you a better idea of what they can provide.

Regional shows encompass a larger area that usually includes an entire city and neighboring towns. This creates the need for a much larger venue and thereby creating a bigger show overall. It can be overwhelming, but if you are not afraid of options and need inspiration, this could be the right bridal show for you.

Keep in mind though, that regional shows are held only a few times a year at best. However, you will have the opportunity to search through hundreds of vendors and wade among the thousands of others doing the same. The larger shows will include vendors such as Toronto DJ companies and photographers.

Another aspect to the regional shows that is important to be aware of is the price. The entrance fee alone can be up to $25. The higher end vendors will be in attendance at these shows as well.
