Look for the Best Art Schools

By Jeffrey Marley

Visual Arts is all about visually stimulating an audience by the use of an aesthetic creation. There are a lot of covered topics in visual arts, these are: sculpting, painting, ceramics, designing, crafts, photography, architecture, film-making and drawing. There are no limitations when it comes to art schools, and studying art, per say. There are multiple numbers of programs offered by art schools which relates to fashion, fashion designing, decorative design, architecture and industrial design.

The World of Visual Arts

Fine arts, so as applied arts, are all included under Visual Arts. Back in the days, the word "Artist" often was contained to individuals involved in fine arts, this was before the Arts and Crafts Movement in Britain was birthed around the beginning of the 20th century. Art schools then made considerable changes which distinctively differentiated fine arts from craftsmanship. Likewise, in other nations such as China, only paintings painted by Scholars are considered to be of high value as compared to mere amateurs. Same attitude applies with Western hierarchy involved in Arts.

Education and Art Training

Art may be tagged on a subject by anyone, per say, nevertheless, an educated individual who actually involved oneself in art schools can certifiably be endowed the right to call his or her creation as art, per public's view point. This is so that Art Schools bear permission to certify students as Artist because of the massive undertakings, trainings and workshops it submits students to. Europeans were the ones who popularized art academies, which moulded students by intensive trainings, empowering with the use of learned skills, techniques and strategy. Art has now popularly found its ways in the mainstream as reflected with the fact that Art Subject is now part of the education system of most nations as an elective subject.

Drawing

Drawing subjects by means of sketching and using artistic delivery of lines on canvas is technically taught and learned in art schools. Tools used in drawing includes: pens, pencils, coal, wax, crayons and the like. Dimensions of lines on canvas, or paper are distinctively pressed as to observe technique to create the best outcome. Technique varies from blending, hatching, stippling and scribbling.

Painting

Motifs and ideas are artistically executed on canvas by the use of a tool, most popularly used in painting is a brush (of various sizes.) Canvas which is either made of cloth or hardened paper, pinned up a wall, or stacked on a rack, is lit up by strokes made by an artist. Brush is matched with colour based on water, wax and glue. Ideas are brought to life as the composed idea on the artists' mind is carefully delivered by a would-be painter.

Photography

Photography has now become a very popular past time. Often we see people using cameras to capture special moments or events. However, photography as an art is the process of scoping on a subject by use of a camera. Caught light patterns would then be saved in a film or a saving device than can either be manually, chemically or mechanically produced into photos.

Sculpture

Sculptures are created by shaping a hard or soft material into an aesthetic design. Not all times sculpture means carving. It can also fall into the category of assembling, molding or casting a material into a desired shape.

Art Schools have now taken front seat as art fanatics slowly emerge. Offering courses that triggers one's fancy, a student is given a chance to deliver to life his thoughts, feelings and imagination. Visual Arts is one of the most popular choices of program in Art Schools. As part of accreditation, art schools are now approaching its method of education into a higher vamped level, offering not just art major subjects, but as well as general education to attain accreditation. This endows art schools into giving Bachelor Degrees to students. Art symbolized freedom of expression. The ability of a person to bring to life his or her motifs, art's aesthetics defies the rules of society.
