Creating A Unified World Through Publishing Genealogy

By Juliette Cruz

There is a belief that every living creature on the earth is related in some way. There are scientists which have spent their lives confirming this using a classification system. This system describes life from the classification of domain to the level of species. Scientific proof is undeniable. It has become a harder task trying to confirm the relationship, or human life ancestry. Many families are only knowledgeable of just a small amount of family relationships. Very little could be known about great grand parents and the generations before them. There are some that have the privilege to trace their families back a thousand years. Publishing Genealogy is a means to develop a connector that, when tied to others, could provide a clearer picture for mankind.

Pursuits of genealogy are far greater than a passing fancy or hobby. It is in many ways a necessity. Many have religious and spiritual reasons to seek knowing their family history. This makes the task in those cases mission events, or works of love. Many can benefit in different ways from these pursuits. For many of African American decent, history stops at the shoreline. Because of the trading of slaves there was a cutting of the opportunity to trace family lines from their African origins.

There is esteem building and pride in knowing ones heritage. Whether the ancestors were in positions of power and authority or if they were regular people that overcame extraordinary situations, this knowledge can help to inspire others that go through difficulties of their own.

Genealogical processing will serve to speed the elimination of racism and elitism. These antiquated and divisive sentiments have created pain and suffering among people of all races. Battles have been started because of it with innocent lives lost in the process. No matter the skin color, all human beings are related in some way.

The field of genealogical research is exploding. Genealogical publishing still includes paper books. However the internet is serving as the main spark for the explosion. Search engines are being easily accessed. Most times all it takes is a name, and the family tree connection begins.

There are many sites which have the ability to design family trees which are very detailed. They can showcase biographical information on every family member. Photos can be included as well. The information can be seen by different family members around the world. The sites can become check in stations where everyone knows of family birthdays, anniversaries, and other significant dates. This is a great way of learning about the family as well as keeping it together.

GEDCOM stands for Genealogical Data Communication. It is a type of computer language that enables information to communicated between different types of software. If one considers the internet to be the heart of genealogy growth, then GEDCOM has to be the backbone of it.

The world will continue to become smaller due to technology and more successful due to advances in diversity. Publishing Genealogy will create common threads of interest, acceptance, and motivation needed to continue positive growth and maturity of mankind. It will seek to tear down walls of us and them. Rather, it will serve to show everyone as family.
