His group The Jimi Hendrix Experience achieved phenomenal success after a relatively slow start and he and Eric Clapton remained friends up until Jimi's death in September 1970.
Slash is also known and revered as one of the most influential and talented guitarists of all time achieving success both as the front man of the band Guns N Roses and also as a solo artist. His list of achievements is a long one and he's featured on numerous lists, shows and stages earning him well deserved critical acclaim world wide.
