Fine Art Photography And Interior Design

By Cindy Hess

Photography and interior design go hand in hand these days. As photography is now considered an art, it is slowly making its way into houses, alongside paintings. Did you know that, in most modern homes, photography has already replaced paintings on the walls. A modern interior designer would usually gravitate towards the use of pictures, as compared to paintings. Then again, it still depends on the preference of the customer.

The use of photography is pretty prevalent in Malaysia interior design. As most of Malaysian living spaces and condos are quite small and spaces are scarce, pictures can add that air of style for home and condo interior design. In Interior Design Malaysia, pictures can actually even add depth and the illusion of extra space.

Picture a empty and bare white wall. It's just plain nothingness. Picture if the interior designer would include a huge portrait of a white marble hallway? Can you imagine the difference? Pictures with contrasting colours can break dull lines. For instance, adding artful photos of a toy store in a child's room or if you wish to create the an illusion of a higher ceiling for your bedroom request a picture of a spiral stairs taken from the bottom up.

Another advantage of utilising pictures in interior design is that it can be personalised. While others might dispute that paintings can be customised too, photos can be created at smaller percentage of the price of paintings. There are several creative methods of how photos can improve the interiors of your residence - you can hire an interior decorator to get the job done for you.

Photography is not merely used as a home ornament in interior design. It's also the main media utilised to promote the work of interior designers. With no photography, every minute detail of a designer's work won't be captured and in interior design, everything is in the details. It is safe to say that with no photography, the accomplishment of interior designers will be hard hunted.
