There is a lot of interest and curiousness in buying art items from the people who created them. Meeting the artist is something very special. The artists are also in a position to talk about the various aspects of their works and what they represent in a nice manner. In the process, they often manage to make folks who wouldn't otherwise have considered buying their art products to consider doing so.
