Reading The Best Science Fiction Books

By Mattie MacDonald

There are so many people within this world who love to read novels about outer space and other odd things. This is one reason that publishers will always list the best science fiction books that are currently on the market. "Logan's Run" is one writing which explores all aspects of human life and how evil mankind can be towards one another. In this adventure the reader gets to explore questions about life expectancy, promiscuous behavior, uneducated and poor individuals.

All of the residents who reside within this special futuristic city are unable to live after they have passed twenty nine. There is a law that makes all thirty year old people report to the town square for their termination. This event is thrilling for all citizens who are living in this new civilization which does not like old age.

This process is similar to a sporting event that normal citizens would view on a weekly basis. Many of these people living within this chaotic city are very promiscuous and they do not care about obtaining sexual diseases. Every night the lead character named Logan will select a different woman to have sexual relations with.

It is totally acceptable for these young people to be so promiscuous and not worry about any type of illness. They are only living for the moment since death is quickly approaching them. All of the residents are given a computer program which can grant them different human beings at night.

There is a special facility which cares for the infants that are born into this obscure society. All of the babies are raised without mother and father figures and this is all perfectly fine. Each child is given a special name and number at birth. In time these children will also live a wild lifestyle that is similar to their wayward parents.

The people living outside of this dome are not as fortunate as their counterparts. They had to struggle for survival each and every day during the year and this took its toll on their appearance. The children who are only sixteen years old look at least twenty five. Unfortunately not many of them know how to read and write and they are very sadistic. The dome counselors have decided that these individuals will die at eighteen.

On certain occasions many of the human beings who have reached thirty years old try to escape from the dome. The humans who decide to run are then chased by law enforcement officials called sandmen. They are given this title since their guns will kill any runner on sight. These men also get pleasure out of killing all of the runners who were brave enough to escape.

Logan and his friend had to face uncertain dangers while they were on the run and this was very unfortunate. The most dangerous creature that they faced was a robot who was in the habit of freezing runners.
