Make Your Own Adorable Minky Blanket

Little cute babies are delicate, small and adorable. Couples including friends and relatives will be very happy and excited to know when a baby is coming. Lovely married couples will prepare everything that their angel might need. From cribs, toys, foods to little details like blankets, pillows and mittens. Tiny little toes and tiny little fingers are important to take good care.

Harmful and low quality products to be used for the babies must be avoided. It is necessary to be wise and knowledgeable enough in choosing the right stuffs to use for them. A widely known comforter that is made of special kind of wool to ensure the babies warmth, this is what they call as minky blanket. The fiber is known to last longer that any other fibers.

Getting this from stores and boutiques will surely cost you big. Spending your money for a blanket is not reasonable. You want to keep your money but at the same time you want to provide the best blanket for your baby, here is the answer to your problem. Why not make your own good minky comforter.

Provide a yard of printed cotton woven, a yard of minky fiber, a string to connect and a embroidering materials. Provide the mentioned materials first before starting. To begin with, laundry and dry your cloth then after use drying, iron it with a warm temperature.

The size and dimension of the lining will be your decision. Cut the two cloths to your desired length and width. It is advisable to tear the cloth rather than using a scissor. It can make it straighter. Holding the end sides will make it more easier for you to tear them. Allocate some portions for changes and use measuring tape in monitoring the size.

Next, having the cotton and the minky ready, start laying the cotton fiber printed side down and the soft side up of the cloth. This way, it will make the right sides face each other. Put pins around the comforter to see if they fit perfectly. Cut the unnecessary sides of the fabrics.

After placing them together and putting some pins, sew them around the comforter. One helpful tip you might need, do not forget to back stitch. Leave some opening space about two to three inches.

Pull out the bed lining after finishing the embroidering part. Take out everything through the hole side that you left. Do your finishing touches now by making sure to remove the edges and closing the hole. Close everything and do not put any extra spaces. You can use an iron to press down the lining to make them flat.

Following the whole process. You can possibly finish the whole home made blanket making in just an hour. You already made your own blanket without spending so much. Use your wild imagination and creativity in making your own stuffs for your baby. Doing it out of love and effort is better than wasting money in buying things at the store.
