When seeking work in film, television or radio, there are a number of opportunities. One of these opportunities includes working as a Voiceover Artist Atlanta. While often known as an off-stage art form when it comes to acting, voiceover artists most always work behind the scene. For, most often these individuals are reading directly from a script which will be added to the production at a later date. Whereas, there are some live voiceover artist which providing services during the actual filming of a movie or television show.

Over the last few decades, new opportunities have opened up in the communications and video gaming industry. For, a number of companies now use on-hold messaging which has been prerecorded. Whereas, game developers often use voice over talent to add realistic aspects such as voices to characters and avatars in video games.

Most information provided at tourist attractions such as amusement parks, historical sites, museums and zoos are pre-recorded. Whereas, concerts and sporting events also tend to have recorded messages throughout the event. One of the most well known areas in which this type of talent is used is in adding a voice track to the memorial section at the annual Emmy and Oscar Awards.

Voiceover is added into existing dialogue and should not be confused with dubbing or translation often used in foreign films and television. In most cases, it is obvious when a movie has been dubbed while most foreign films have captions in different languages such as English, French or Spanish.

Another area in which these individuals work is in narrating different projects, most often for animated tales in film, television or short films. While this is the case, there can often be additional storytelling laid over the narrated dialogue to provide a stronger sense of action. When it comes to narration, most often individuals are reading from a script or existing novel on which the project is being based.

Claymation and animation are often some of the most preferred work of voice actors. For, providing a personality to an animated or Claymation character can often be fun and exciting. Some of the most well known artists having worked in this area include June Foray, Mel Blanc, Paul Frees, Daws Butler and Don Messick. Whereas, there are also jobs available when it comes to giving puppets a voice such as in the work of Jim Henson and the Muppets.

In the past, there was controversy related to voice actors adding a voice to characters of different races. More recently, much of the controversy has been squelched by the hiring of more diverse artists. While this is the case, if there are no voiceover artists available to voice a character of a different ethnicity, then most often those spots are filled with individuals whom are at least fluent in the native language of the country.
