21st Birthday: How to Celebrate

By Simon Andrew

Your 21st birthday is the time you celebrate your independence as this marks your final kick into real life. In the United States, this is the time that you can start drinking without being supervised by your parents. And that explains why many teenagers want their 21st birthday to be a special one. Some take the opportunity to party in the drinking zones, discos and bars. However, they expose themselves to many dangers by celebrating their birthday in such a way.

There are those who invite their family members and friends to celebrate this birthday together at home. I am not saying it's bad to celebrate your birthday in clubs; my point is that you ought to be responsible when celebrating your birthday because you are now an adult. You need to be responsible because many folks usually make mistakes that they live to regret for the rest of their lives.

You can host the birthday at your house and invite family members and friends to celebrate it with you. It will be an excellent idea because your family members will be excited to be together. You'll receive unique 21st birthday gifts from family members and buddies. Below are some points to keep in mind when you're planning your 21st birthday party.

Invite a Responsible Friend Who is a Designated Driver

A designated driver must go with you to the bar, club or any other drinking zones. The driver will help you get home safely after a night of drinking. Many people make use of designated drivers but some have not yet learned the importance of being accompanied by a designated driver.

A designated driver can be your friend who has offered to remain sober because he values your safety. Therefore, it is advisable that he remains sober for the whole night. Many bars have supported such ideas by offering free or lowering the cost of non-alcoholic drinks purchased by a designated driver.

Enjoy the Night-Do Not Get Trashed

Getting a little buzzed is what everyone asks for once in a while. Your birthday is the most suitable time to get buzzed but do not let yourself get trashed just because it is your 21st birthday. Therefore, you ought to have fun while the event is going on because the party is about yourself.

Getting drunk is not the only way to celebrate your birthday. There are many options that you can choose from if you do not want to get drunk. For instance, you can accompany your friends to a film theater, a restaurant or any other places that you can entertain yourself.

There are more ways to celebrate your birthday but the above mentioned ways are some examples of the suggestions. These ways do not forbid going to clubs and bars, but they demand that you be responsible. Getting a designated driver is a good way to take caution that will ensure you live to celebrate the 20 second birthday. It isn't compulsory that you get yourself drunk on your 21st birthday, because there are more ways that you can enjoy yourself.
