Drapes and window treatments - Fun Methods to Tie up Back Curtains

By Manuel Jenson

Curtain Pullbacks: Perhaps you have seen the costs of those things?! The lowest priced I can find in local stores is $10/pair, and it's seriously just an ugly part of bent metal. Oh, you will want cool jewel or coil to go towards the end? Well, which will be another $10! Such a racket! This how-to shows you how to create curtain pull backs for pennies around the dollar.

Follow these super easy steps and see how yours seems!

Materials

Needle nose pliers Heavy gauge wire (we used wirehangers we found at a yard sale in large quantities) Beads for decoration (that is optional, determined by our your style and what you have lying around) Washers (for installation) Screws (for installation)

Steps

You will require enough wire per panel. Should you used the wire hanger idea, you'll need one wire per window panel

1. Cut the straight perhaps the hanger, or if you're not using hangers, you'll need to cut at least 10 inches of wire. You can clip off extra later, trust me, it's safer to convey more than less!

2. Bend the cut rods in a U shape *When generating the first bends, using somethings that shares a similar desired shape is useful. I made use of paint cans to wrap the wire around to help create and observe after the contour. You must realize that the heavier the gauge (or thickness in the wire) greater difficult it really is to do business with.

3. While using the needle nose pliers, bend one end sheer at the 90 degree right angle to set decorative beads or charms on later (you can even coil it knowing how)

4. While using needle nose pliers, clamp one other end with the pliers, then wrap the whole wire around once to generate a loop which has two circles (this is one way you can attach it on the wall

5. Seeing that it is all totally bent into condition, add the decorative beading, or coil, or other design. Make certain you crimp, glue, or otherwise not secure the beads, or they'll go everywhere!

6. Affix to the wall with washers and screws. Squeeze retreat resistant to the wall (way sure it is facing the appropriate way or else it certainly can't work correctly, for reasons unknown this is the most difficult for me personally!), then a washers, then screw it all to the wall. (if you don't just like the look of plain washers, you can, paint, decoupage, etc. the washers).

7. Enjoy your awesome handiwork!
