Have Fun And Be Productive At A Party For Paint And Drink Jersey Shore Bars And Taverns Throw

By Diane McDonald

There are many taverns, bars and pubs and other drinking establishments on the Jersey Shore so people looking for a night out can stay busy. There are also those places of business that do serve drinks and offer something that is safer than getting behind the wheel drunk. These are the more and more popular bars that offer a party to paint and drink Jersey Shore residents and visitors have found so much fun.

You are able to find these establishments fairly easily. You may be surprised that some of your regular bars or taverns host these parties on various nights. These little classes run about three hours or less. They are less expensive than a regular pub crawl and, being more fun, you can actually remember your night the next morning.

There will be posters hanging on many walls, easily visible, that will tell you about the timing for the next several classes. It will indicate the times and dates. You will also be able to plan your schedule, should you wish to do so, because they will probably be held on the same night of each week.

Other items of interest, listed, is the selection of wine that will be served. The cost of the evening will include everything you need to paint an image and the drinks. Some classes will even offer soda or beer, while a few might offer something stronger.

The events that will occur at this party or class may just scare off a few of the attendees, the first time. They are going to be involved in learning about something they may have never thought they would be interested in. They will be doing something they did not think would ever have any kind of draw on them.

The thing that is noticed is that everyone is painting the same picture. It will have been picked out by the hosting artist. This may be listed on that poster you saw, or it may be left as a surprise for the evening. It may come from any of a rather large grouping of genres. It could be surrealistic, portraiture, scenic representations or even darker material.

The classes are all conducted much the same. The attendees will filter in and find their easel. The canvass might already be placed on the rail. The drinks will be made available on a side table and brushes, paint, scrapers as well as cloths and other tools will be passed out. The artist will display the image to be worked on and discuss various intricacies with it.

The artist will demonstrate some technique they used to achieve one of the main elements of the picture they are showing. This may be a different brush stroke or the mixing of various colors of pigment. Everyone will watch, learn and have the ability to ask questions. They will then get to work with the artist circulating through the room helping those in need.
